Conclusion

If you were to ask us whether we would choose to live in Azerbaijan again, the answer would be a confident yes. Compared to many other countries in the world, Azerbaijan offers a surprising sense of order and stability. There remains an underlying respect for leadership, even among those who might not fully agree with the style of governance. I once asked a local why they didn’t vote for change during elections. His answer stayed with me: “We know what we have with this leader, and we understand his ways. Why risk bringing trouble upon ourselves by choosing the unknown?”

For an expatriate, life in Azerbaijan feels remarkably safe. Walking the streets at night, even as a woman, you don’t carry the usual weight of anxiety; there’s no need to clutch your handbag tightly. People here are known not just for their hospitality but also for their genuine humility. Life remains refreshingly simple, free from unnecessary complexities. With its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage, Azerbaijan could easily stand beside the most celebrated destinations in Europe.

But have we uncovered everything this country has to offer? The honest answer is no. There are countless villages, untold stories, and hidden gems still waiting to be discovered. This book shares just our journey. Now, it’s up to you to come here and write your own.
